Beacon Hill Financial has partnered with a non-profit organization in the search for a Bookkeeper to join their team. This position will report directly to the Director of Finance and will be responsible for managing accounts payable, assisting with financial reporting, and contributing to special projects. Candidates with experience using Great Plains are encouraged to apply. This job is 100% onsite at their headquarters based just outside of Norfolk in the Virginia Beach area. Essential Job Duties

Process, verify, and issue payments for accounts payable check requests while addressing any related inquiries.Review employee expense reports to ensure adherence to company policies.Prepare and issue invoices to agencies for shared services, rental fees, and external usage.Balance sales reports, conduct weekly inventory audits, and submit quarterly sales and use tax filings.Record journal entries, maintain reconciliations of general ledger accounts, and produce financial reports.Support the preparation of monthly and annual financial statements, including variance analysis.Contribute to special projects and take on additional responsibilities as needed.
