National Security Analyst Expert
Immediate opening for a Border Security Subject Matter Expert with expertise in countering Weapons of Mass Destruction (WMD) and Border Security. This GDIT part-time casual position supports Defense Threat Reduction Agency's international training programs for combating proliferation of WMD. The Border Security SME supports and implements various aspects of the training program by designing and developing CWMD training curriculum and exercises, providing oversight of program technical equipment, presenting instruction to foreign partners, and serving as an exercise facilitator.
Responsibilities:
● Responsible for gathering, processing, and analyzing highly complex national security knowledge worldwide.
● Provide expert advice, training, and leadership guidance regarding joint and interagency response concepts, operations and activities supporting detection and prevention of smuggling of WMD materials across national borders.
● Develop training modules, activities, and exercises.
● Coordinate and facilitate the execution of training, workshops, and exercises.
● Applicants must be able to travel internationally.
Desired Qualifications:
● Knowledge of current technologies, best practices for design and implementation of effective whole of government national security operations related to securing borders against WMD is essential.
● Knowledge and experience in tracking, border surveillance and border security management is essential.
● Nuclear, biological, chemical, strategic, or conventional weapon expertise.
● Experience delivering training for DTRA Cooperative Threat Reduction or Building Partner Capacity programs.
● Training development expertise.
● Strong organizational skills.
BA/BS or equivalent, 15+ years of experience
The likely hourly rate for this position is between $68.00 - $92.00. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.Scheduled Weekly Hours:
