As a Bore Operator/Locator, you bring expert knowledge in equipment operation and locating, with a preference for experience using Vermeer 9X13 horizontal directional drill rigs. You have a strong background in all aspects of horizontal directional boring, including operating and maintaining drill rigs. As the team lead, you'll also be responsible for overseeing crew members, guiding them in operating directional bore machinery and locating equipment. Your primary focus will be to ensure optimal production, safety, and high-quality work.

Qualifications and Experience

Required:

2+ years of verifiable experience in directional boring. CDL Class A/B with Tanker Endorsement. Experience with various Vermeer and Ditch Witch units. Hands-on experience in underground gas construction. Familiarity with city, county, and state clearance codes and related regulations. Willingness to travel.

Preferred:

Strong understanding of utility industry safety protocols and procedures. Knowledge of utility depth and placement practices. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability to effectively manage a 2-person crew independently. Proficient in reading and interpreting maps, drawings, and project diagrams. Capable of working outdoors in all weather conditions. Ability to handle stress and resolve issues promptly. Competent in using computers, smartphones, and tablets.
