Position Overview:
As part of the talented Boston Whaler team, you will be responsible for supporting production, product services, warranty, customer service and manufacturing teams. Support includes building, testing, and installation of the following: wiring harnesses, electrical AC and DC components, and systems and control equipment.

Essential Functions:
Required to build prototype and production harnesses as neededMust have the ability to read specifications, blueprints, and provide necessary mark-ups.Perform incoming inspections on electrical components, panels, and harnesses as needed.Install, test, and troubleshoot marine AC/DC components. Which include appliances, battery chargers, inverters, etc.Tests and troubleshoots electrical circuits or systems to ensure proper operation.Utilize testing instruments such as a digital multimeter and hull potential meter.Verifies functionality of installed electrical equipment or system to detect hazards and the need for adjustment, relocation, or placement.Must interface well with other employees, departments throughout Boston Whaler, Brunswick organization, outside vendors, dealers, and retail customers.Self-starter, high energy individual who can work effectively without supervision.Must be committed to quality standards acceptable by Boston Whaler and marine regulatory agencies.Ensure work area is maintained clean, orderly and safe.Know and enforce company policies and procedures.Must be willing to work overtime as required to ensure timely completion of critical projects.Must be willing to travel if necessary.Ability to write installation and test procedures for electrical components.Develop wiring diagrams and troubleshooting procedures for electrical components.Perform other duties a necessary.Diversity of thought and experiences is fundamental when imagining the unimaginable. Certain skillsets/experiences are necessary; however, others can be developed along the way.
Required Qualifications:
Minimum of 5 years electrical experience is required. Knowledge of boat building is preferred.Basic understanding of AC and DC circuits is required.Experience troubleshooting and repairing electrical issues is required.Experience with PC based software (Word, Excel, OBMS). AutoCAD preferred.Demonstrate problem solving and decision-making abilitiesMust have a High School Diploma or equivalentKnowledge of manufacturing methods and proceduresPreferred Qualifications:
Additional technical training in Electrical fields preferredNMMA, ABYC compliance certification training, Mercury E-skills training, and NMEA training preferredBoating experience preferred.AS in Engineering or related field preferred.Working Conditions:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand, walk, and sit. The employee is occasionally required to use hands to handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts; high, precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; and toxic or caustic chemicals. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
The anticipated pay range for this position is $42,200 - 66,300 annually. The actual base pay offered will vary depending on multiple factors, including job-related knowledge/skills, relevant experience, business needs, and geographic location. In addition to base pay, this position is eligible for an annual discretionary bonus.
At Brunswick, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top end of the salary range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent upon the specifics of the candidate’s qualifications and the business context.
