Box Truck Driver

As a Box truck Driver, you will be responsible for providing accurate and timely deliveries to local vendors and to the CertainTeed Norcross and Conyers plants. This position will also be responsible for ensuring safe accurate loading and unloading of product as well as transporting the product to the origin point while ensuring quality standards are met.

Preform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of CertainTeed products and check the necessary paperwork. Accurately fill out the necessary documentation and signed throughout each process. Load and unload product in a safe and delicate manner to ensure products are received clean and damage free. Drive to destinations as outlined, in a safe, responsible manner and in compliance with all state laws and transportation regulations. Notify vendors with any route changes, time delays, and non-delivered orders. Checking-in with vendors at each designated account and serve as the CertainTeed representative. Submit vendor paperwork and/or the necessary internal paperwork between the Conyers and Norcross plants to the appropriate personnel in a timely manner. Perform other tasks and duties as assigned which will include daily drier and preventative maintenance logs. Notify your supervisor when truck service is required based on milage or vehicle operation changes. Actively seek to support implementation of and contribute ideas and suggestions for continuous improvement to the delivery. Communicate vendor feedback or issues. Inspect the company vehicle, which includes checking tire pressure, fluids, and fuel, and other item listed in logs. Reporting any issues immediately to your supervisor. When not driving, you will be required to support other shipping receiving team activities as instructed by your supervisor. Actively seek to support implementation of and contribute ideas and suggestions for continuous improvement to the delivery. Communicate vendor feedback or issues. Inspect the company vehicle, which includes checking tire pressure, fluids, and fuel, and other item listed in logs. Reporting any issues immediately to your supervisor. When not driving, you will be required to support other shipping receiving team activities as instructed by your supervisor.

The position does not require a CDL but all safe driving and operational requirements must be maintained.
