We are looking for a highly driven individual that will align and measure materials prior to bending with the press brake and will operate a brake safely and efficiently to bend trapezoids into pole shafts. Enter the necessary data into the Press Brake computer to operate the machine accuratelyComplete required reports and record the appropriate date with accuracyEnsure a high standard product by inspecting all produced work for qualityOperate a minimum of two press brakes, one that is numerically controlled and one manual machineDemonstrate excellent safety practices and behaviors which conform to all Valmont safety policies and proceduresBend pole trapezoids and/or parts by using the magnetic crane to move the material and Brake press to complete the projectsOperate an overhead craneWhat it takes
Required Qualifications
One year of previous experience in a manufacturing or fabrication environmentThe ability to program and re-set the Press Brake and troubleshoot operating malfunctionsThe ability to read and decipher blue prints and flat sheets without assistanceThe ability to certify for overhead craneThe ability to communicate and interact with coworkers in a positive mannerMust have a high awareness for safety at all timesHighly qualified candidates will also possess:
High School Diploma or GED equivalentSix months of previous experience operating a brake pressOne year of previous experience reading and interpreting blueprints and flat sheets in a professional environmentThe ability to work in a high volume, fast paced environmentThe ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedural manualsMust be a person of passion and integrity who has the drive to excel and deliver exceptional resultsBenefits
