We, at Leggett & Platt Inc., are searching for a Branch Manager within our Management team to lead our UK branch in Ammanford. Our automotive products fall into four primary groups: Seating and Lumbar support, Wireless Charging, Motors and Actuators, and Mechanical Cables. As a Branch Manager, you will have the responsibility to successfully lead the day to day operational functions within the branch. You will also support the management team while fostering an environment that aligns with the company vision, strategy and culture. The role is responsible for motivating and empowering people to perform the manufacturing process with excellence and to produce a quality product.
What will you be doing:
Leading a Safety first approach maintaining a zero accident culture. Ensures and monitors work, accident prevention and environmental protection regulations of the facility to assure a safe and productive work environment free of any liabilities or defects Development and administration of Operational budget, controlling operational P&L and formulating actions to address variances and gaps, achieving revenue targets, maximizing productivity and cost optimization. Works closely with other departments such as Engineering, Supply Chain, Quality & Program Management to ensure continued delivery of manufacturing plan Monitors quality and quantity of output; takes appropriate action Optimize branch capacity and efficiency through flexible plant and manufacturing structures, improvement through Lean Manufacturing methods within operations and optimize production utilization and Strategy Establishes a culture of functional and Operational Excellence, supports 5S, lean initiatives and to be a committed role model for our Company’s Beliefs and Behaviors Establish and maintain appropriate internal capabilities and strengthen the organization (Succession Planning) through training, career development opportunities as necessary to achieve operating objectives Maintaining strict adherence to internal and external Business Processes and Certifications synonymous with a large US Incorporation operating within the Automotive Industry and all other local legal requirements Fulfill assigned primary, secondary and or tertiary deputy/back-up roles as assigned and required on occasion by the business
To be successful in this role, you’ll need:
5-7 years of proven operations success in a manufacturing environment Automotive experience Experienced managing P&L Experience in people and project management Business acumen with proven track record and expertise Proven leadership skills in a growth and change based manufacturing environment Strong multi-tasking skills with willingness to adapt to changing business needs and deadlines Strong Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing Proven ability to build relationships, to drive results through internal partnerships and to respond effectively to sensitive inquiries or complaints Excellent oral, written, organizational and communication skillWhat to Do Next
