Job Type General Description

Manages all aspects of a branch. Accountable for financial performance (P&L), new business development, customer experience, coaching and complying with all policies and procedures. In-depth knowledge and relationships within the community they serve.  Executive presence coupled with authenticity and thoughtfulness in approach are critical for fit for the role. Emphasis is placed on ensuring that the branch achieves budgeted results and effectively manages risk.   Responsible to develop new business with a focus on small business loans and further expand existing business relationships while attracting new money by performing the following duties:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

P/L management

Accountable to manage the budget by ensuring revenues and expenses meet targets.

Sales management

Lead sales activities, from sourcing new client and expand existing client relationships by bringing the full suite of products to the client. Build and manage a robust branch loan pipeline. Review reporting and provide feedback to employees on performance against sales targets.

Leadership

Mentor and coach through leadership by example of Popular’s values: professionalism, accountability and a keen focus on sales productivity and customer service. Provide consistent feedback to employees on performance, both against sales targets and adherence to Popular’s standards around delivering a best-in-class customer experience.

Operations

Responsible for overseeing operations, including train and manage teams to adhere to operational procedures, recruitment, expenses, etc. Accountable for branch assessment, audits, and BSA efforts. Acts as primary escalation point for decisions and issues within branch. Education Bachelor's DegreeExperience

Bachelor's degree from accredited college or university and/or five years or more of experience in Retail Branch operations, business development, sales and managing employees or equivalent related experience and training. Prior experience as Assistant Branch Manager or Branch Manager is preferred.

Performs supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.  Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

 

PERFORMANCE METRICS:

To perform this job successfully, an individual will be measured against the following key performance indicators:

 

Branch sales production goals for business lending, consumer lending, mortgage loans, low-cost deposits and high cost deposits. Branch profit and loss (P&L) including direct expenses goals. Branch fee income goals including PINS shadow credits, mortgage shadow credits, cash management fees and fees for consumer credit cards. Branch self-service deposits goals, internal branch assessments and NPS scores requirements. Branch portfolio management against goals.
