The Branch Sales Manager directs and coordinates the activities of the Branch Sales team to accelerate case growth, customer penetration, improve margin and drive brands. (S)he is responsible to meet budget while driving enterprise and local sales strategies. (S)he is also responsible for providing opportunities to continuously develop the sales team, build sales leaders, and drive team engagement.
\nEssential Duties:
\n\nClearly communicate top level goals and initiatives to the Branch and work with Branch leaders defining local sales strategies to ensure optimal performance. \nManage and regularly meet with Branch Staff to evaluate performance metrics, financial objectives, and budgets/projections\nPromote and recognize collaborative team, and individual successes.\nEnsure sales leaders are appropriately identifying and responding to performance issues\nParticipate in regularly-scheduled Broadline SBU and Support Services Leader Reviews regarding service level agreement performance, improvement of service level agreement processes, working with the Branch Manager to effect changes and implement best practices\nOrganize and identify unique customers’ needs for sustainable competitive advantages. \nUpdate and prepare forecasts and budgets with comprehensive knowledge of trends including historical volume, planned events, and seasonal activities, to support purchasing forecasts, operational manpower planning, and budgets.\nMentor and develop Branch Sales leaders including the identification and support of fast-track development of high potential sales associates. \nRepresent Shamrock as a Senior Leader when requested to address individual customer situations for the Branch. Consult with the appropriate Support Services leader to ensure any commitments made to the customer will be met.\nRepresent Shamrock as the Senior Branch leader for Business Reviews.\nServe as the “Face of Shamrock” for local community events and Branch Associate/Management meetings; Town Hall meetings, Sales meetings, and Charity functions, and assist with the communication of Branch Policies & Procedures.\nDevelop and facilitate a Branch Annual Event calendar; execute and ensure deployment of employee feedback processes developed by Human Resources.\nReview and communicate compliance needs for regulatory or other compliance matters.\nPromote participation in industry, manufacturing, or trade associations, and the communities Shamrock serves.\nOther duties as assigned.\n\nQualifications:
\n\nBachelor’s Degree required, Master's degree preferred. \n7+ years’ experience in Broadline sales with progressive role growth.\n2+ years’ demonstrated success managing a large field sales team (50+).\nHighly analytical and process oriented; comfortable with Six Sigma approach.\nAbility to work successfully within a highly matrixed structure.\nChange agent; thrives in continuously improving systems and infrastructure.\nExcellent communication skills\nDemonstrated expertise in Microsoft Office Suite; (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint)\nMust be flexible and willing to work the demands of the department which may be subject to evenings, weekends and holidays.\n\nSalary of $160,000 to $185,000 depending on competency, experience, qualifications and skills plus annual bonus potential.
