The Role

The CAA Brand Consulting Account Director will play a leadership role in one of our largest Brand Consulting clients, a financial services company. The AD will help develop and lead the strategic vision, management, negotiation and activation of marquee entertainment properties and talent relationships in the brands portfolio. The candidate will lead interfacing day to day with the client, manage junior team members and will work cross functionally with internal/external vendors, clients and agencies.

The Department

CAA Brand Consulting is a strategy-led, full-service marketing agency with expertise in Cultural and Consumer Insights, Data and Analytics, Talent/Influencer and Property Partnership Advisory, Experiential, Social Impact, Creative Services, and Content and Digital Strategy. These integrated capabilities come together to offer solutions from planning through execution, and we pull in a collective perspective of expertise with each client brief to ensure we are tapping into diverse thinking and building strategies reflective of the marketplace and culture we work within.

Responsibilities

Develop and deliver overarching strategic vision based on brand objectives for existing and new entertainment and talent partnershipsUnderstand client’s business and consistently apply strategy that address their objectivesSenior oversight of existing marquee entertainment partnerships including day to day communication directly with propertiesIdentify new entertainment and talent partnerships that fit against brand objectivesDevelop and deliver compelling written and verbal communicationsLead overall planning of campaigns, events and activations, working with internal account team, client team and external agenciesNegotiate and manage talent partnerships on behalf of the clientBuild integrated marketing and sponsorship activation plans, showcasing how digital, social, PR, retail and other channels come to lifeAct as quarterback to lead integrated agency team as requested by clients, working collaboratively with other agencies including brand, media, PR to develop comprehensive activation plansWork with CAA Data & Analytics to oversee the management of brand portfolio measurement evaluation including drafting annual scorecard, working with vendors on data inputs and analyzing performanceWork with other team functions (e.g. Creative, Experiential, Social Impact, Insights / trends, etc.) to ensure goals and objectives are metLead, manage and inspire a team of direct and indirect team membersCreate presentations for key meetings internally and externallyTrack activation budgets with accountability for reportingIdentify and sell-in new projects and revenue opportunitiesHelp grow CAA Brand Consulting network and visibility by attending conferences, CAA events, and functions

Requirements

BA or BS strongly preferred8-10+ years of relevant marketing and sponsorship experienceAbility to travel and be on site at events, outside normal business hours on an as needed basisStrong people management and mentorship experienceProven stakeholder management and strong influence skillsStrong fiscal approach with excellent budget management and forecasting skillsProven ability to drive strategic vision and business growthStrong negotiation skillsExceptional verbal and written communication skillsStrong PowerPoint & ExcelExceptional attention to detailAbility to balance and progress multiple projects and project components at one time, on tight timelines

Location

Based out of the New York office this role is onsite/in office Tuesday thru Thursday and remote Monday and Friday.

Compensation: The annual base salary for this position is in the range of $123,000-$173,000. This position also is eligible for benefits and discretionary bonus. Ultimately, the salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, business sector, and geographic location, among other criteria.
