OVERVIEW:
Leads brand efforts for the Marathon & ARCO brands, guiding a team of specialists responsible for overseeing and managing programs that enhance and protect brand integrity and consumer perception, including mystery shopping, trademark management, and brand standards. This role ensures consistent application of brand guidelines, drives value through brand-focused initiatives, and works to maintain a high standard of brand representation across all touchpoints. The Brand Management Manager collaborates closely with cross-functional teams to implement effective brand strategies and provide insights to continually enhance brand equity.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Oversees the planning and execution of the brand mystery shopping programs for the Marathon, ARCO, and licensed brands to ensure compliance with brand standards and exceptional consumer experience. Analyzes mystery shop data and feedback to identify areas for improvement and provides actionable recommendations to relevant departments.Manages and enforces brand trademark use and visual identity guidelines across all channels and touchpoints for all retail brands. Collaborates with legal and marketing teams to protect brand trademarks and prevent unauthorized or inconsistent use.Develops, implements, and maintains brand standards, ensuring they align with company values and objectives. Conducts regular audits and assessments to ensure consistent adherence to brand standards across regions and the competitor landscape.Oversees the development and execution of value-driving programs that utilize company scale to enrich opportunities for jobbers and dealers. Measures the impact of these programs, using data to continuously improve and adapt strategies to meet brand goals.Ensures proper usage of brand incentive programs and budget management. Compiles reports on program effectiveness, providing insights to management on brand and program performance. Uses data from brand audits, mystery shopping, and feedback to inform strategic adjustments to brand initiatives.•Manages relationships with core vendors and execution partners. Collaborates with other support departments including Retail Payments, Brand Programs, Loyalty, and Innovation to ensure alignment with overall brand objectives.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s degree in business administration, marketing, or related field required.Eight (8) years of brand marketing, program management, or related experience required.Three (3) years of experience in marketing, with a focus on brand operations or standards preferred.Leadership and energy industry experience strongly preferred.As an energy industry leader, our career opportunities fuel personal and professional growth.
