Job Title: Brand StrategistJob Description
This hybrid role requires a deep understanding of consumer and customer intimacy, business planning, and brand and product experience. You will work remotely on Mondays and Fridays, and onsite in the office on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays.
Responsibilities
+ Develop a deep understanding of the brand’s consumer through data and research, focusing on demographics, psychographics, occasions, path to purchase, and behavioral drivers.
+ Understand, validate, and/or develop the consumer’s hidden universal truths to drive relevant communications.
+ Analyze data and synthesize learning into insights to optimize plans and commercial investment decisions to deliver business results.
+ Leverage data and trends to generate insights, transforming them into marketing innovations, brand building communications, and retail programs.
+ Ensure that key business KPIs are met, including revenue, profit, market share, and brand health, through P&L ownership.
+ Lead the monthly operating process to deliver business performance and ensure accurate forecasting to mitigate supply challenges and key demand fluctuations.
+ Track sales, consumption, and consumer trends to identify gaps and opportunities.
+ Project end-to-end impact of the business plan and prepare cross-functional teams to deliver.
+ Manage the brand’s consumer marketing budget and demonstrate an efficient and effective investment approach.
+ Develop strategic revenue management strategies to drive long-term profitable growth, including pricing, promotions, and price pack architecture.
+ Strategically chart a course for the category, portfolio, and brand using data-driven decision-making.
+ Work with internal teams and external creative/media agencies to develop marketing strategies and plans that increase awareness, penetration, and/or purchase frequency.
+ Identify optimal engagement strategies and campaign structures to reach consumers when and where they are most receptive.
+ Ensure the cultural relevance of the brand’s identity, essence, and activations across all touchpoints.
+ Activate the brand’s nutrition, health, and wellness proposition in consumer communication.
+ Manage the brand’s consumer marketing budget and demonstrate efficient and effective investment approaches.
+ Support packaging changes due to product, graphic, and/or formula changes.
+ Support innovation and renovation pipeline development based on key consumer, shopper, and marketplace data.
+ Collaborate with cross-functional and external experts to lead innovation projects in support of the brand’s innovation strategy.

Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ At least 3-5 years of work experience in marketing or brand management
+ Experience leading and influencing cross-functional teams and/or agency partners utilizing strong negotiation and relationship-building skills
+ Experience leading marketing communication projects including digital and media strategies
Work Environment
This is a hybrid role with remote work on Mondays and Fridays, and onsite work in the office on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. The role involves working on product brand/marketing communications strategy, media strategy, MBP & QBR, PFME, consumer pricing, consumer marketing operations and execution, insights and analytics, eCommerce, agency management, supply/materials tradeoffs, and customer meetings. Development activities include category, brand, and consumer strategy, brand identity, product proposition, MBS/long-term strategy, PPA strategy, product innovation, portfolio management, portfolio optimization, channel strategy, sustainability, new business models, nutrition, insights and analytics, product quality, product innovation & renovation, design strategy (packaging) – restage, operations strategy, procurement & sourcing strategy, trade strategy, channel strategy, category expertise, upfront storyline planning with the sales team, and feedback to improve sales content.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $38.00 - $39.00
