Brand Strategy Manager (remote)

This is a remote position available to any qualified applicant in the United States.

As a verbal brand and creative strategist on the Cognizant Brand team, you’ll play a pivotal role in helping to strengthen our brand, changing perceptions and setting us apart from competitors in the fast-moving technology services industry. You’ll apply your creative talents and develop new skills working on mission-critical strategy and writing projects that elevate the Cognizant brand to advance business objectives—fueling demand, shaping customer experience and inspiring employee engagement.

We’ll definitely need your help in brand governance of all kinds—from ideas (like coming up with a quick name), to whether our logo should be used in a certain way, to whether or not a particular video is worthy of inclusion on our owned channels. We’ll need your expertise on our website, thinking about how to bring our brand to life through content and experience in a wide variety of circumstances. And we’ll need your help educating our organization on brand, updating our guidelines and intranet page, and answering brand questions that come to us from all over the business.

Your responsibilities will include:

· Collaborating with Cognizant strategists, writers, designers and consultants, to help deliver:

o Brand strategy and naming for offerings, business units and events

o Brand guidelines, templates and toolkits

o Brand education articles and trainings for internal and agency audiences

o Other tools to enable the creation of on-brand deliverables

· Working efficiently and collaboratively within the marketing team and across the organization to develop creative ideas and write high-profile content that creates a unified brand experience in channels that include:

o Advertising campaigns and brand videos

o Corporate website and intranet

o Social media

o Thought leadership and content marketing (videos, podcasts, articles, digital applications)

o Events

o Experiential sponsorships

o Recruiting

o Employee experiences

o Public relations and communications

o Investor and analyst relations

· Leveraging data (qualitative and quantitative research, web analytics, social engagement, etc.) to help shape brand strategy, expression and experience

· Writing best-in-class strategic and creative deliverables employing Cognizant voice and messaging

· Partnering with brand team members to shape creative briefs for a wide variety of deliverables

· Fostering a spirit of creativity and strategic thinking that inspires others to understand, appreciate, and elevate our brand standards

The ideal candidate:

· Has 5+ years of experience in brand, creative and marketing roles, with a minimum of 3 years of agency experience developing leading brands in a variety of industries

· Possesses subject matter expertise in brand strategy and verbal identity, including positioning, architecture, naming, voice, messaging and content development

· Has a strong working knowledge of leading marketing tactics, and an ability to create effective content and experiences across channels, including digital, social, video, presentations, corporate communications, etc.

· Is persuasive and articulate in presenting creative strategies to senior team members

· Is driven to innovate brand strategy and expression and raise the bar with every project

· Is a creative, high-functioning problem-solver able to keep projects moving at top speed, even in challenging and ambiguous circumstances

· Is a lifelong learner, eager to understand the nuances of complex business dynamics and tech concepts

· Enjoys collaborating with others, embodying Cognizant’s values by treating people with respect within and outside the team and the company

In order to:

· Create confidence in and goodwill with stakeholders across the business by creating exceptional content, gaining helpful feedback and refining accordingly to deliver a standard-setting product

· Be a persuasive ambassador for the power of brand, helping to activate our brand narrative internally and externally to scale influence across the organization and drive demand and desire in potential clients and recruits

· Bring your brand knowledge into the corporate realm, collaborating on a wide variety of projects to uplevel our brand experience across Cognizant’s vast organization

Salary and Other Compensation:

The annual salary for this position is between $85,000 - $125,000, depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
