Key Responsibilities:

The Branding and Media Relations Officer shall provide expert technical guidance, support, and efficient management of the Department tasked with safeguarding and elevating WVDF’s brand by cultivating trust, driving engagement, and garnering support for WVDF’s mission and programs. Drive impactful brand engagement by fostering robust and sustainable relationships with the media and cultivating a network of internal and external ambassadors and brand advocates who will promote and champion the welfare of Filipino children, furthering the mission of WVDF.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Play an active role in shaping and advancing the Resource Development (RD) strategy and plans by providing valuable contributions.Develop and execute comprehensive brand plans and management strategies that align with branding and communication plans and WVDF’s mission and values. Stay abreast of industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies to continually evolve and improve branding efforts.Oversee the development, implementation, and maintenance of organizational branding guidelines aligned with WV Partnership and Regional standards, ensuring consistency and coherence across all communication channels and touchpoints.Efficiently model and facilitate continuous improvement of business processes, driving operational excellence and fostering a culture of continuous learning and innovation.Collaborate with other Departments and Teams, such as marketing, communications, and Operations, to align branding efforts with overall organizational goals. Foster strong relationships and ensure effective coordination to maximize the impact of WVDF’s brand and communicate it effectively in all public engagements.Provide effective leadership and supervision to the Department by fostering a collaborative and inclusive work environment, encouraging professional growth and development among team members by supporting them in achieving agreed performance, development, and well-being goals.

Qualifications:

2-3 years of experience in Media Relations or in a related field (such as a media outfit for a significant number of years).Strong network of media relations contacts, both off- and online.Strong interpersonal communication skills.Strategic Thinking: Ability to develop and implement media strategies that align with organizational goals.Crisis Management: Experience handling media relations during crises to maintain a positive public image.Analytical Skills: Proficiency in monitoring and analyzing media coverage and public sentiment.Technological Proficiency: Familiarity with communications technologies including social media, and media analytics tools.Have the ability to build and maintain relationships with journalists and media outlets.Updated on traditional and social media trends and best practices.Confident to work and partner with third party agencies for PR, creatives, and media buying.Can lead and manage a diverse team to achieve organizational goalsCan provide clear direction, set priorities, and monitor team performance.Can create an inclusive, supportive, and motivating work environment.Can address challenges proactively and make decisions with confidence.Can ensure effective communication and collaboration within the team and across departments.Can identify opportunities for process improvements and drive initiatives to enhance productivity.Can manage resources efficiently to meet project deadlines and quality standards.
