Braze Process Engineer - Plant 10

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from an accredited college or university. Ability to interact effectively with all levels of an organization. Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire.  Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.

 PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Certified Lean Six Sigma Green Belt and/or Black Belt Experience working with controls/programming robotics  Demonstrated ability to create and deliver adult training in technical topics Experience with brazing, welding, and/or metal joining systems and the ability to apply these within a manufacturing environment Technical knowledge of heat treatment thermal processing with an emphasis on brazing processes Demonstrated methodical aptitude for troubleshooting equipment and related issues. Strong analytical skills. Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Job Responsibilities:

Determines root cause of deviations from critical process specifications to resolve Braze related issues Educates and trains operators about proper procedures and processes, including creating/revising work instructions and training materials. Drives improvement through implementing and maintaining feedback systems. Institutes proper monitoring of the Braze department performance to ensure financial targets are met (yields, rework) Fosters continuous improvement by utilizing process management, control plans, Cpk monitoring, etc Acts with an innovative spirit, willing to challenge the status quo and seek the implementation of improved processes and new technology, including increased automation Develops best practices to improve production capacity, quality, and reliability Works with automation team to increase first time yield and equipment uptime on automated equipment. Develops improved preventative maintenance programs to promote improvement of automated processes.  Supports Heat Treat Process Owner to maintain NADCAP certification Pursues elimination of waste, the improvement of equipment reliability and efficiency, and the reduction of operating costs.
