The **Embassy Suites by Hilton south Bend at Notre Dame** is looking for a **Breakfast Cook Supervisor** to join their award\-winning team\!
Conveniently appointed in the vibrant Eddy Street Commons across from the University of Notre Dame, this hotel features 164 guest rooms and 10,400 square feet of event space\.
The **Breakfast Cook Supervisor** is responsible for staffing and the service and quality of the hotel's breakfast service in the hotel's continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service and financial profitability\.
The preferred candidate will have previous experience with breakfast production, guest\-facing positions, and the ability to multi\-task along with at least 1 year of supervisor experience\. The ideal candidate must be available for **5:30AM starts** \.
This is a **Full\-Time** candidates must have open availability including weekends and holidays\.
**What will I be doing?**
As a **Breakfast Cook Supervisor** , you would be responsible for staffing and the service and quality of the hotel's breakfast service in the hotel's continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service and financial profitability\. Specifically, you would be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:
+ Prepare food items according to designated recipes and quality standards
+ Maintain cleanliness and comply with food sanitation standards at all times
+ Manage guest orders in a friendly, timely and efficient manner
+ Ensure knowledge of menu and all food products
+ Stock and maintain designated food station\(s\)
+ Visually inspect all food sent from the kitchen
+ Practice correct food handling and food storage procedures according to federal, state, local and company regulations
+ Prepare requisitions for supplies and food items, as needed
+ Resolve customer complaints about service, food quality, etc\. by assessing problem and taking immediate action
+ Schedule and direct staff in their work assignments
+ Implement procedures to control food and labor costs
+ Administer procedures related to Internal Audit\. Inspect facilities and equipment for clean, safe and sanitary conditions
+ Monitor the quality of food preparation \(cooking techniques, food temperatures, plate presentation\)
+ Monitor storage and rotation of food stock and supplies to ensure sanitation and inventory procedures are in accordance to hotel guidelines
+ Oversee preparation of food in all areas during assigned shift
In addition to performance of the essential functions, this position may be required to perform a combination of the following supportive functions:
+ Maintain an open line of communication between guests, management, and service staff; discuss operational problems
with co\-workers or managers to work out solutions
+ Schedule and attend required meetings
+ Follow hotel standards for safety and security
+ Utilize traditional software programs such as Word, Excel, Publisher, PowerPoint and/or Outlook
+ Perform general cleaning tasks to adhere to health and safety standards
+ Perform in the capacity of any position supervised
+ Keep work area clean and organized
+ Complete other duties as assigned by manager
+ Demonstrate positive leadership characteristics which inspire Team Members to meet and exceed standards
