The Embassy Suites by Hilton south Bend at Notre Dame is looking for a Breakfast Cook Supervisor to join their award-winning team!

Conveniently appointed in the vibrant Eddy Street Commons across from the University of Notre Dame, this hotel features 164 guest rooms and 10,400+ square feet of event space.

\n

The Breakfast Cook Supervisor is responsible for staffing and the service and quality of the hotel's breakfast service in the hotel's continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service and financial profitability. 

\n

The preferred candidate will have previous experience with breakfast production, guest-facing positions, and the ability to multi-task along with at least 1 year of supervisor experience. The ideal candidate must be available for 5:30AM starts.

This is a Full-Time candidates must have open availability including weekends and holidays.

What will I be doing?

\n

As a Breakfast Cook Supervisor, you would be responsible for staffing and the service and quality of the hotel's breakfast service in the hotel's continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service and financial profitability. Specifically, you would be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:

\n\nPrepare food items according to designated recipes and quality standards\nMaintain cleanliness and comply with food sanitation standards at all times\nManage guest orders in a friendly, timely and efficient manner\nEnsure knowledge of menu and all food products\nStock and maintain designated food station(s)\nVisually inspect all food sent from the kitchen\nPractice correct food handling and food storage procedures according to federal, state, local and company regulations\nPrepare requisitions for supplies and food items, as needed\nResolve customer complaints about service, food quality, etc. by assessing problem and taking immediate action\nSchedule and direct staff in their work assignments \nImplement procedures to control food and labor costs\nAdminister procedures related to Internal Audit. Inspect facilities and equipment for clean, safe and sanitary conditions\nMonitor the quality of food preparation (cooking techniques, food temperatures, plate presentation)\nMonitor storage and rotation of food stock and supplies to ensure sanitation and inventory procedures are in accordance to hotel guidelines\nOversee preparation of food in all areas during assigned shift\n\n

In addition to performance of the essential functions, this position may be required to perform a combination of the following supportive functions:

\n\nMaintain an open line of communication between guests, management, and service staff; discuss operational problems
 with co-workers or managers to work out solutions\nSchedule and attend required meetings\nFollow hotel standards for safety and security\nUtilize traditional software programs such as Word, Excel, Publisher, PowerPoint and/or Outlook\nPerform general cleaning tasks to adhere to health and safety standards\nPerform in the capacity of any position supervised\nKeep work area clean and organized\nComplete other duties as assigned by manager\nDemonstrate positive leadership characteristics which inspire Team Members to meet and exceed standards\n
