Job Summary:

As a breast surgeon at the Allina Health Cancer Institute, you will be part of a team renowned for its clinical expertise, coordinated care, and compassionate approach. Our multidisciplinary breast program at the Piper Breast Center, located in either Minneapolis or the Northwest region, offers you:

• On-site breast radiology, medical oncology, and radiation oncology.
• Dedicated breast-specific nurse navigation and clinical nursing.
• Comprehensive breast-specific tumor boards.
• Use of Epic as our electronic health record (EHR) system.

Job Description:

Allina Health Cancer Institute is seeking a breast surgeon or surgical oncologist interested in focusing on breast care to practice at our Piper Breast Center located either Abbott Northwestern Hospital (South Metro- Zip code 55407).

This position is a full-time position including 32 patient contact hours per week plus call and rounding. (own service rounding and call only, no general surgery) 

 

Principle Responsibilities:  

Works collaboratively with patients to improve their health and well-being. 

Practices in a thoughtful manner including consideration for cultural diversity, individual autonomy and legal responsibilities. 

Actively participates in multidisciplinary team approach to case management. 

May participate in peer review and quality assurance. 

Utilizes quality improvement tools to develop processes that promote continuous improvement in delivery of patient care, patient outcomes, or work flows. 

 

Job Requirements: 

MD, DO, or foreign equivalency training required. 

Board certified in general surgery required. 

Completion of a breast fellowship or surgical oncology fellowship required. 

BE/BC with ABMS or AOA required. 

Active, non-restricted medical license in MN (or ability to obtain) 

Ability to obtain and/or maintain MN DEA certification and National Provider Identifier (NPI). 

Ability to meet criteria/qualifications for Credentialing and hospital privileges. 

BLS required within 180 Days.

Pay Range

Pay Range: $425,000 to $500,000 per year

The pay described reflects the starting base pay range, assuming a full-time FTE. Your starting rate will depend on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, your experience, education, and the union agreement (if applicable).
