Join us. **Job Description** The **AECOM** Transportation team is seeking a talented, ambitious **Bridge Designer** for our **Edmonton, AB** location supporting the railway bridge group projects. _This is a full-time position to start immediately._ **Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:** + Performs specific and limited portions of a broader assignment of an experienced engineer. + Gathers and correlates basic engineering data using established and well-defined procedures. + Works on detailed or routine engineering assignments involving calculations and relatively simple tests. + Proposes approach to solve new problems encountered. + Identifies discrepancies in results. + Provides guidance to supporting technicians. + Performs work in accordance with agreed upon budget and schedule with moderate supervision. **Qualifications** **Minimum Requirements:** + Must have completed a Bachelor’s degree in Structural or Civil Engineering **Preferred Qualifications:** + Master’s degree in Structural Engineering + Engineer-In-Training (EIT) + French speaking knowledge would be an asset. + Familiar with common structural analysis and design software + Co-op or Intern experience + Capable of using a spreadsheet, word processing, and standard office software + Basic knowledge of industry-standard computer software for the position (examples include software such as AutoCAD, MicroStation, SAP2000, Midas, S-Frame + Proficiency in steel and concrete design and analysis + Strong attention to detail and quality + Strong oral and written communication skills; including an aptitude for technical report writing + Forward-thinking and motivated + Team oriented **Additional Information** + Relocation assistance is not available for this position + Sponsorship assistance is not available for this position + Must possess a valid Driver’s License Offered compensation will be based on location and individual qualifications.
