A Southland Holdings company is currently accepting resumes for an experienced Bridge Foreman for our project in Lake Charles. Responsibilities: + Provide overall leadership and direct the activities of field crew employees. Work with field employees to increase productivity. + Review projects to focus on equipment and manpower; review job costs and equipment utilization reports. Plan and review projects with Project Managers, Estimators, and Superintendents. + Oversee the construction, repair, and maintenance of bridges and other related structures, ensuring all work is performed safely and efficiently. + Inspect equipment regularly for repairs, proper utilization, and to address any signs of abuse or neglect. + Actively participate in safety-related training programs to enhance skills and knowledge base. + Perform job site quality control checks to ensure compliance with design plans and specifications. + Ensure quality assurance in all phases of work, including setting forms, rebar installation, concrete placement, and post-tensioning (if applicable). + Monitor job site operations for compliance with contract requirements, safety regulations, and environmental standards, including dust and noise control. + Actively promote a safety-conscious culture, following all safety regulations and mentoring crew members, particularly new hires. Education/Experience: + High School education is required. + 5+ years of experience as a Foreman in bridge construction or related heavy civil work. + Strong understanding of bridge construction methods, including forming, reinforcing, and concrete placement. + Prior experience operating heavy equipment used in bridge construction is a plus.
