Kimley-Horn is looking for a Bridge Inspector to assist engineers with the completion of structural projects in our Fort Worth, Texas, (TX) office! This is not a remote position.
Responsibilities Bridge engineer for NBIS bridge inspection, load rating, and design of bridges.Lead field inspection of structures as an inspection team leaderPrepare and review inspection report findingsPerform LFD and LRFD ratings on bridges using analysis softwarePrepare CADD drawings as required for structure documentation.Work with other team members to support bridge inspection assignments and mentor team members in bridge inspection production efforts.Work with other teams to perform bridge condition assessments. Qualifications High school degree or equivalentBachelors Degree PreferredProfessional Engineering (P.E.) License Preferred 5+ years of experience in bridge inspection assignmentsFamiliarity with AASHTO, NBIS, and upcoming SNBICompletion of NHI / FHWA Safety Inspection of In-Service Bridges course preferredAbility to travel approx. 25% performing field inspectionsAble to withstand high levels of physical exertion including walking, climbing, bending, carrying, and lifting up to 30 lbs.
