Bridge Staff Engineer II

Are you a bridge engineering professional with a strong work ethic, eager to learn and the ability to work collectively within a team? We are actively seeking a skilled Bridge Staff Engineer II to join our dedicated team in Lehigh Valley, PA. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in designing, analyzing, and inspecting critical structures, contributing to projects that make a lasting impact on the built environment.


Structural Design and Analysis:

               · Design and analyze a variety of structures, including bridges, culverts, buildings, and retaining walls

               · Develop solutions for the maintenance, repair, or replacement of existing structures

               · Develop design reports in accordance with PennDOT Bridge design standards

Bridge Inspections:

               · Perform National Bridge Inspection Standards (NBIS) bridge inspections to evaluate the condition and safety of infrastructure

               · Prepare NBIS bridge inspection reports

 Collaborating with Project Teams: 

               · Work alongside Project Managers, Project Engineers, and other Staff Engineers to deliver high-quality results

Project Deliverables: 

               · Support the preparation of project deliverables, including manuals, specifications, and documentation

Ensuring Compliance: 

               · Uphold company policies, quality control standards, and best practices throughout all phases of project execution

Requirements

  

Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering with a Transportation/Structures emphasis or related degreeEIT or PE licensure (or ability to secure through reciprocity within 6 months)3+ years of experience in bridge designNBIS bridge inspection certification is preferredKnowledge of PENNDOT design standards and proceduresIntermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite Working familiarity of MicrostationTeam player with strong skills in communication, planning, and organizationFlexibility to travel to job sites, meetings, and other offices (Valid U.S. driver’s license is required)Legal right to work in the U.S.
