Position Title: Bridge Structures Project ManagerLocation: Columbus, OH
Position Summary: The Bridge Structures Project Manager will oversee the planning, design, and construction of bridge projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality and safety. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with the Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT), hold an Ohio Professional Engineer (PE) license, and possess a strong background in bridge design.
Key Responsibilities:Lead and manage bridge design and construction projects from inception to completion.Coordinate with clients, stakeholders, and project teams to ensure successful project delivery.Develop project plans, schedules, and budgets, and monitor progress to ensure adherence to timelines and cost constraints.Conduct site visits and inspections to ensure compliance with design specifications and safety standards.Prepare and review engineering designs, plans, and specifications for bridge structures.Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including architects, engineers, and contractors.Ensure all projects meet ODOT standards and regulations.Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and project team members.Address and resolve any project-related issues or challenges promptly.
Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.Valid Ohio Professional Engineer (PE) license.Minimum of 10 years of experience in civil engineering, with a focus on bridge design and construction.Extensive experience working with the Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT).Proven track record of successfully managing bridge projects from concept through completion.Strong knowledge of engineering principles, design standards, and construction practices.Excellent project management and organizational skills.Effective communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams and stakeholders.Proficiency in engineering software and tools.
Preferred Qualifications:Bachelors or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.Experience with project management software and tools.Additional certifications or training in project management or bridge engineering.
