Job Description

In your role as Bridges Technical Projects Lead, you will be responsible for leading work within the construction technology area. The project sizes will vary from smaller assignments to being part of a large multidisciplinary assignment together with our design team. As a Technical Project Manager, you will also actively work with more traditional responsibilities such as scheduling, budgeting, quality assurance, and risk management, to name a few.

Our Technical Project Managers also actively participates in the bidding process, thus being able to early on influence how the assignment will be conducted and highlight the added values that AECOM contributes to our assignments.

You will have the opportunity to work on some of the most interesting and largest infrastructure projects in Sweden within roads and railways. We have a strongly international environment, and English is used daily as we work together with colleagues around the world (mainly in Europe).

Responsibilities in the role of Technical Projects Manager at AECOM:

Representative for the bridge construction technology area towards the client and for  construction documents within AECOM.Identify and communicate overall client requirements to the team and monitor by supervising and managing the design process and ensuring the fulfillment of the requirementsParticipate in meetings with the clientResponsible for follow-up and reporting of the progress of the technology areas against the schedule and budgetIdentify and communicate design changesEnsure that the quality assurance process is followed and documentedActively work with additional sales in our assignments and contribute to the development of the businessCoordinate drawing production and work in 2D and 3DGuidance and review of structural calculationsWork with technical descriptions according to AMAMentorship and supervisionSupport the management team with bidding work.

Qualifications

Essential qualifications:

Relevant university or civil engineering degreePrevious experience, at least 5 years, in a Technical Project Leader roleAt least, 8 years of experience in the transportation or civil infrastructures industryFluent in English and high level of Swedish language, both spoken and writtenProven experience in preparing tender documents and construction documents for execution contracts in accordance with AB04.Strong familiarity with ABK09.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in production, construction site follow-up, or similar contracting roles.Expertise in preparing tender documents for total contracts as per ABT06.Proficiency in detailed design work for contractors.Experience working on projects in the early stages (investigation phase).Background in building construction.

Candidates with less than 5 years of experience as a technical manager/project manager are welcome to apply, and the application will be considered for the role of project engineer.
