Job Description
Responsibilities
We are looking for a summer intern in 2025 to join our enthusiastic, collaborative broadcast applications engineering team. The Applications team is focused on helping customers design in tuners and demodulators for worldwide transmissions of radio signals for analog AM/FM and digital HD/DAB/DRM standards. We work closely with worldwide customers and various internal teams such as marketing, systems/design, quality, and test to ensure our products are well understood and designed successfully.
Our team designs, builds, and maintains software tools used by our engineers to develop and test our products. We are looking for enthusiastic individuals with solid Python skills to join our team and continue developing of our test framework. You will use Artificial Intelligence to help you improve, redesign, and test our internal software tools.
Key Areas of Contributions in this Role:
+ Solid foundation in Python. Ability to design, debug, and document Python code.
+ Utilize AI to redesign and test existing Python code, maintaining functionality.
+ Communicate lessons learned to the whole team.
Preferred Education, Experience & Capabilities
+ Working toward undergraduate or master’s degree in electrical, computer, or systems design engineering.
+ Strong knowledge of engineering fundamentals and methodologies.
+ Excellent written and verbal presentation skills.
+ Coursework in programming, software engineering, Python, artificial intelligence
+ Experience using AI to generate and modify code.
+ System analysis skills, and ability to see the bigger picture.
+ Excellent ability to ask the right questions to troubleshoot software systems.
+ Must be comfortable working on challenging problems while being capable of prioritizing and organizing tasks.

The typical pay range for an Engineering intern across the U.S. is currently USD $26.00 - $47.50 per hour and for a Non-Engineering intern across the U.S. is currently USD $22.50 - $42.00 per hour. Starting pay will depend on level of education, the ultimate job duties and requirements, and work location. Skyworks has different pay ranges for different work locations in the U.S.
