CBS Mornings is looking for an Entry-Level Broadcast Associate/Anchor Assistant to support our talented on-air team. This role is perfect for a motivated, organized team player with a passion for broadcasting. You’ll assist with logistics, coordinate with talent, and ensure everything runs smoothly behind the scenes. A calm, positive attitude is essential, especially under pressure. The ideal candidate is adaptable and eager to take on a variety of tasks. Flexibility for early mornings, extended hours, and the ability to travel with anchors on short notice is key.

Responsibilities:
Support talent with calendar management, scheduling, and organizing travel logistics. Prepare briefing books and run scripts during live shows. Handle general news desk duties including research, fact-checking, and gathering story elements. Help develop story pitches, log materials, and assist in editorial meetings. Screen viewer mail and emails, and travel with talent as needed.
Qualifications:
Previous internship or comparable experience in a news broadcast setting. Genuine interest in news with a desire to grow in the industry. College degree preferred. Ability to work well under pressure and meet strict deadlines. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with exceptional attention to detail. Discretion and professionalism are key. Willingness to work early mornings, flexible hours, and travel on short notice. A valid driver’s license and willingness to drive.

Hiring Salary Range: $50,000.00 - 50,000.00.
The hiring salary range for this position applies to New York, California, Colorado, Washington state, and most other geographies. Starting pay for the successful applicant depends on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education. The benefits available for this position include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan, life insurance coverage, disability benefits, tuition assistance program and PTO or, if applicable, as otherwise dictated by the appropriate Collective Bargaining Agreement.
