Our client, a well known broadcast media and entertainment company is urgently looking to hire a **Broadcast Technician** to join their team **ON SITE in Manhattan, NY!**
**** This is a 10+ month contract to hire on W2 offering a full benefits package ****
**Required Skills & Experience**
+ 3+ years of experience in a streaming testing lab or similar environment, including hardware assembly, network cabling, and device management.
+ Proficiency in configuring network switches/routers, VPN’s, setting up and testing various types of network and AV connections and understanding network security best practices
+ Strong experience setting up and managing AV equipment, particularly in a lab environment.
+ Experience diagnosing and resolving hardware, network, and AV issues, with a focus on maintaining uninterrupted testing conditions
+ In-depth experience with streaming technology or media testing labs is highly desirable
**Job Responsibilities**
+ As a Lab Infrastructure Technician, you will work closely with Lab & Network Manager to build, maintain, and support the lab environments essential for testing streaming application across multiple platforms.
+ You will handle day-to-day tasks related to lab hardware setup, including building device racks, managing network infrastructure, and ensuring all lab equipment is ready to support high-quality streaming tests
+ Assemble, install, and maintain device racks with up to 30 test devices per rack, supporting the Peacock app across platforms.
+ Run, test, and manage network cabling, including fiber optics, to ensure uninterrupted high bandwidth streaming and testing capabilities.
+ Set up, configure, and troubleshoot AV equipment, including testing TVs and streaming devices, to maintain optimal testing conditions.
+ Configure and maintain network switches to support Quality Engineers' testing requirements and ensure secure, high-speed connections across labs.
+ Provide hands-on support to the Quality Engineering teams in using the lab infrastructure effectively, troubleshooting network issues, and ensuring uninterrupted access to remote testing tools.
+ Maintain detailed records of equipment, configurations, and maintenance schedules. Document standard operating procedures for lab setup, network configurations, and AV system management
