YOUR DAY-DAY:
Provide support for the technical needs of the News DepartmentRepair and Maintenance of Video Cameras, Editing Systems, ENG vehiclesAssist with video equipment set-up and maintenanceAssist Engineering with Transmitter and Master Control maintenanceAssist with LAN and WAN related hardware and software maintenanceDevelop knowledge of facility specific IT needs and assist in supporting these systemsSystems Integration and wiringA basic understanding of Project Management Techniques and DisciplinesPerform physical inventory of equipmentProvide support in the management of Servers, Network Security and Network ServicesPC/Mac hardware/software support of on-site installing, servicing and repairing workstationOther duties as assignedYOU HAVE:
4 years of related broadcast experienceMust be able to work a flexible scheduleOn-call duty, including weekends and holidaysStrong familiarity with Non-Linear Editing, Production Control, Automation, Master Control Automation, Newsroom Automation, Sony ELC preferred.Knowledge and competency in core hardware and computer system technologies, including installation, configuration, diagnosing, preventive maintenance and LAN/WAN networkingProficiency in troubleshooting problems and responding quickly under pressureExcellent communication skillsMust have the ability to rate a resistor code and distinguish between the color bandsDesired Skills & Experience
Associates degree or higher in IT, electronics or computer related field.SBE CertificationA great team-oriented attitude and dedication to qualityFamiliarity with Avid, Evertz, and Sony news production hardware and software products a plusSimple to moderately complex CAD design and system planningEligibility Requirements
