Broker II - Financial Services Group
Aon is looking for a Broker II – Financial Services Group As part of an industry-leading team, you will help empower results for our clients by delivering innovative and effective solutions as part of our Financial Services business group. As a Broker II, you will report directly to the Team Leaders of the Financial Services Group. This is a hybrid role with the flexibility to work both virtually and from our New York, NY office. What the day will look like Acts as the primary negotiator in acquiring the most appropriate carrier coverage from a variety of insurance carriers. Be part of the client facing team, along with Producers and/or Account Executives, who will participate in client discussions to understand needs and develop strategies to address the clients’ needs. Identifies and analyzes client exposures and determines which markets to use, ensuring detailed evaluation of qualified companies in the marketplace. Provides alternative options and/or design risk transfer/financing products for presentation to the client. Develops the ability to articulate Financial Lines insurance benefits to the client and uses these skills to implement Financial Lines offerings whenever appropriate based on client need. Identifies and recommends opportunities to improve existing Financial Lines insurance programs. Responsible for the day-to-day, deal team management account management and broking. Builds, expands, and solidifies relationships with existing clients at senior levels within the company. Ensures operational excellence, including adherence to service management requirements. Pro-actively develops knowledge of the Aon capabilities to identify and develop relevant cross sales opportunities and Aon tools. Enjoys developing new client relationships and building upon existing relationships. Works and collaborates with Aon leadership to achieve goals. Influences and has exposure to Aon leaders in multiple locations. Serves as a source for information concerning market trends, pricing practices and other underwriting policies. May participate in development of department policies and procedures and implements them in assigned area. Skills and experience that will lead to success Required Experience: Typically, 5+ years of broking or underwriter experience with a concentration on Directors & Officers Liability, Employment Practices, Fiduciary, Crime and Special Risk. Solid understanding of carrier underwriting practices & processes. Confirmed leadership skills in working with teams and ability to work with clients and to successfully exceed client expectations. Confirmed client facing skills including effective presentations & communications. Validated organization and ability to work with others. Experience in resource deployment and utilization management. Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively at various levels. Successfully operates in a fast-paced driven environment that requires the ability to handle several tasks simultaneously. Must maintain appropriate broker’s license. Proficient in Microsoft Office suite of products Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent years of industry experience. Pay Transparency Laws: The salary range for this position (intended for U.S. applicants) is $150, 000 - $210,000 annually. The actual salary will vary based on applicant’s education, experience, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. The salary may also be adjusted based on applicant’s geographic location. The salary range reflected is based on a primary work location of New York, NY. The actual salary may vary for applicants in a different geographic location. This position is eligible to participate in one of Aon’s annual incentive plans to receive an annual discretionary bonus in addition to base salary.
