There are two open positions and they can be located anywhere in the United States. 

 

Job Summary:

 

The Broker Sales Operations Manager is responsible for managing the broker (3rd party sales representatives) day to day operations while aligning efforts toward delivering sales and profitability targets across broker covered accounts. Leads broker wide communications in support of commercial driven strategies that enable Newell to achieve best in class execution results with the customers covered by brokers. Builds relationships across all levels of the broker teams and their partnering Newell Brands sales leads and facilitates broker performance and accountability driving activities.  Keeps a constant eye on broker capabilities to ensure the best possible broker sales partners for strengthened execution.  Strong connectivity in other functional areas such as Sales Planning, Sales Ops, Finance, Commissions and Master Data to ensure best in class selling tools are in use across the external broker community and that internal systems are set in alignment with latest broker contract coverage details.  Delivers results while maintaining the highest level of integrity and living the values of Newell Brands.

 

 

Job Responsibilities:

 

Manage multiple broker agency relationships ensuring adequate coverage and regularly surveying performance is in alignment with expectations  

Partner with Sales Planning for assigned “Segment Champion” Business Units to provide expertise on all go to market and seasonal selling materials for use by broker sales reps

Host Broker ‘all calls’ in delivery of key selling materials and initiatives across broker rep teams

Troubleshoot broker SharePoint site gaps to ensure best practice sales resources/tools/selling materials are current, clear and organized to broker audience

Establish impactful annual KPI’s (key performance indicators) and assist in tracking metrics to drive accountability for broker teams

Support broker scorecard and quarterly business review process (QBR’s)

Manage on-going broker change (i.e. contract renewals/amendments, system updates, customer ship-to and sold-to’s, inform finance/shared services)

Negotiate commission rates and service level obligations with broker partners, leveraging total Newell Brands coverage needs and enforce services provided against documented obligations

Organize and maintain accurate broker coverage details (IE: commission rates, service level, effective dates, sales rep contact info, etc.) in master database and on Broker SharePoint site

Execute monthly sales data reports for use with Broker Scorecards published

Set Broker SharePoint site folder security levels and grant access to new users

Centralized resource and expertise on retail execution options and best broker partners for select retailers and types of retail execution (IE: projects, mandated retail, continuity coverage)

Requirements:

 

Bachelors/University degree

5+ years sales, trade, or sales operations experience; Consumer Products industry preferred

Proven team player with exceptional drive for results

Extremely organized, has strong analytical abilities and acute attention to detail

Persuasive / Negotiation Skills

Ability to host large audience calls (50+ people) and guide the conversation

Solid experience with syndicated data (Nielsen, IRI)

Strong personnel management skills

Advanced skills using Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook and Teams

Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment

Excellent written and verbal communication skills; must be able to present data in an organized manner

Demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks and assignments simultaneously

Conflict Management/Composure; Technical Knowledge

~10% Travel
