What is BSP Expense Management Specialist responsible for?We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Expense Management Specialist – Travel & Entertainment (“T&E”) to join our finance team. Given BSP’s global presence and commitment to providing personal service to our investors, a significant number of our employees regularly travel to various destinations. As an Expense Management Specialist – T&E, you will play a crucial role in managing and processing employee travel expense reports, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency in our expense reporting process. The successful candidate will report directly to the Accounts Payable Manager#ASSOCIATE
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Monitor and analyze travel and entertainment expenses, including airfare, accommodation, dining, and entertainment costs for internal stakeholders.
Ensure that all expenses are properly documented and adhere to company policies, flagging any irregularities or non-compliance issues.
Generate and analyze detailed expense reports, examining high-risk areas to identify trends and provide actionable insights to BSP.
Maintain organized and easily accessible records of expense reports, receipts, and payment documentation.
Be prepared to assume the responsibilities of the primary Accounts Payable Analyst in their absence or as the workflow demands, ensuring that all tasks are completed without interruption. Properly code vendor invoices for entry utilizing our accounts payable software, Coupa, and submit for authorization.
Assist in month-end and year-end closing activities related to expenses and accounts payable, including accruals and reconciliations.
Perform ad hoc requests as requested by the Accounts Payable Manager and/or BSP Management Company Accounting.
Qualifications:
The successful candidate will ideally possess:
A minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting. Previous experience in expense management, accounts payable, or a related field is preferred.
A proactive and adaptable approach with excellent attention to detail. Capable of working in a dynamic environment with multiple priorities and deadlines.
Proficiency in financial software, accounting systems, and Microsoft Office, including Excel. Experience in Workday is a plus.
Communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders, team members, and external vendors.
Strong time management and organizational skills to meet deliverables while maintaining quality standards.
High level of professionalism, integrity, and commitment to maintaining confidentiality of sensitive financial information.
Work Shift Timing - 2:00 PM - 11:00 PM IST
