The primary role of a Tax Senior in COE is to support EY’s clients in reviewing, analysing
and updating client tax information in client’s system of records, review any changes from
time to time, provide necessary support to related teams like tax reporting, with-holding, etc.
Tax Seniors are required to ensure highest quality of tax deliverables, supervise, develop
and mentor staff. They are also required to help managers strengthen relationships with the
client.
Your key responsibilities
In addition to specific competencies required for your role, you will also focus on developing the following in relation to firm-wide competencies: Review and analysis of indirect tax returns including VAT, GST and Withholding Tax etc. Handling tax documentation remediation projects (All types of forms W-8s and W-9s review) for both chapter 3 and chapter 4 reporting perspectives. Should have knowledge on filing forms 1042-S and 1099 Should be ready to work on various countries tax practices Identifying opportunities for process improvement Identify the issues on an engagement, try to resolve and bring it to the attention of the Assistant Managers or Managers. Encouraging others to ask critical questions and share their ideas and concerns openly Provide balanced and constructive feedback with specific behavioural examples to the team members Developing strengths and opportunities collaboratively with team members by encouraging people to take action following feedback Contributing to a positive team environment by demonstrating consistent commitment and optimism towards work challenges Maintaining focus of team members on work products; holding others accountable for timely completion of high-quality work Focusing team members on key quality drivers for work assignments Building positive relationships with internal professionals and client personnel by demonstrating integrity and genuineness.Skills and attributes for success

The ideal candidate will have a BCOM/MBA/ Other Finance MastersExperience:
3 to 5 years’ relevant work experience in Tax operations or related discipline Bank/Financial Institutions Knowledge: Products, services, IRS regulations, Tax Operations Experience on accounts and Indirect tax knowledge will be an added advantageAdditional Skills requirements:
Proficient in Microsoft Office (i.e., Word, Advance Excel, PowerPoint and Projects.
