Summary About the Position: Serves as a Senior Budget Analyst within the Real Estate Division, Budget and Financial Management Section, by performing a variety of program planning and analysis work in the formulation, justification, and/or execution of complex multi-program budgets. Responsibilities Analyze program and budget guidance and instructions from higher headquarters to determine impact on organizational operations. Prepare obligation forecast for assigned programs and divisions to include current and prior year as well as reimbursable and direct cite programs. Analyze trends in fund utilization and prepare periodic cost and performance reports to compare actual with forecasted amounts. Receive, distribute, certify and administer all funds distributed to Division. Prepare and present budgetary briefings as required. Prepare recurring and one-time reports using extensive knowledge of past and future requirements and performance data. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes budget preparation, formulation, and execution, to include regulations, cost estimates, and financial databases. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11). Education Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted. Additional Information This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Certain Personnel of DoD Workforce to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service.
