Summary This position is located at Bureau of Engraving and Printing, within the Associate Director - Manufacturing. As a Budget Analyst, you will be responsible for a wide variety of activities associated with budget formulation, presentation, and execution for a large, complex substantive program of national scope and global impact. Responsibilities The BEP is currently in the process of having a new facility built in Beltsville, MD and expect to move to the new facility within the next 5 years. As a Budget Analyst, you will: Provide leadership and guidance to technical and functional leadership with respect to identifying and gathering information for the purpose of determining budgetary resources needed to define and execute these programs and activities. Use programmatic data and insights as to broad objectives/priorities gathered via continuing discussions to develop and formulate budget estimates for single cycle and multi-year programs and activities in accordance with timelines established by the BEP Chief Financial Officer (CFO) (ES-0505). Provide authoritative advice to program leadership to ensure available fiscal resources are allocated to functions and initiatives consistent with objectives and priorities established in strategic plans. Exercise administrative control of funds to promote efficiency and economy and to prevent the need for supplemental appropriations or lapses of budget authority. Maintain effective and ongoing communications across the program community and with BEP to monitor and facilitate appropriate and effective execution of Operating and Capital budgets. For the GS-14, you must have one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-13 grade level in the Federal service.
