Summary This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for DoD to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service. About the Position: Serve as the Senior Budget Analyst to the Chief, Resource Management Division, who is the principal advisor to the Commander, 701st Military Police (MP) Group. Responsibilities Establish and maintain financial management procedures for continual review and monitoring of funds allocated and expended to preclude over-obligation of funding. Prepare budget and data summaries and brief the supervisor on such for inclusion in special and routine reports required for budget execution. Inform managers of current funds execution and available balances through a variety of reports and provide them recommended courses of action to mitigate risks in consideration with mission priorities. Review, analyze, and evaluate funding requirements in support of the mission objectives, plans, and strategies for comparison against historical data. Inform system users of training requirements, monitors course completion, and submits final role provisioning requests to Headquarters, US Army Criminal Investigation Division Command (HQUSACIDC) for approval. Perform auditing tasks applicable to current guidance and requests for information to coordinate with the Supervisory Budget Analyst in preparation of responses to audit readiness Provided by Client (PBC) requests. Conduct research to assist travelers in the resolution of Defense Travel Systems (DTS) related debts. Develop and continuously update Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) for assigned program. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes formulating, justifying, presenting, executing and reviewing an annual operation and maintenance budget; utilizing automated financial tools, such as GFEBS, to manage and track budget execution; and recommending funding of program requirements to senior level management. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12). Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted. Education Additional Information Male applicants born after December 31, 1959, must complete a Pre-Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Registration. Incumbent of this position is required to comply with all Department of Defense and Department of the Army requirements of this certification program.
