Budget Analyst / Mission Resource Advisor

KBR is seeking a Budget Analyst / Mission Resource Advisor to support Headquarters Space Operations Command (HQ SpOC) at Peterson Space Force Base in Colorado Springs, CO.

Key Responsibilities:

Analyze programs/capabilities and develop recommended Program Objective Memorandum (POM) inputsDevelop Execution Plans, Spend Plans, and Unfunded Requirement (UFR) submissionsDevelop financial products supporting the President’s Budget, budget reviews, continuing resolution, initial distribution, end-of-year closeout, procurement documents / requirements documents needed and other financial drillsAnalyze financial aspects of programs and/or capabilities from cradle to graveIntegrate operational data and financial data to advocate for mission capabilitiesPrioritize resources against the most critical needsSupport, coordinate, and execute financial governance processesMonitor, assess, analyze, and evaluate actual performance against planned budgetsProvide recommendations to improve financial management and accounting practicesTravel may be required for limited durations to support Customer events

Qualifications:

Required:

Top Secret security clearance with SCI eligibility (Secret clearance or lapsed TS/SCI may be considered on a case by case basis)BA/BS degree (5+ years of relevant experience may substitute)3+ years of budget-related experience at the Headquarters, Wing, or equivalent levelWorking knowledge of DEAMS (Defense Enterprise Accounting Management System)Familiarity with fiscal resource and processes management tools (i.e., Resource Allocation Programming Information Decision System, Commander's Resource Integration System, Financial Management Suite, Program and Budget Execution System).Strong interpersonal skills to work with a wide-range of customers across different organizationsExcellent verbal and written communication skills.Ability to multi-task and turn staff products rapidly in a dynamic environment.Proficiency with MS Office Suite.Excellent attention to detailMicrosoft Office Suite (i.e., Word, Excel)

Desired:

Headquarters experience in the US Space Force, US Air Force, Combatant Command, Space Operations Command, Space Systems Command or equivalentCertified Defense Financial Manager (CDFM) or Level II/III FM CertificationMA/MA Degree

Basic Compensation:

$110-$120k

This range is for Colorado only.

The offered rate will be based on the selected candidate’s knowledge, skills, abilities and/or experience and in consideration of internal parity.

Additional Compensation:

KBR may offer bonuses, commissions, or other forms of compensation to certain job titles or levels, per internal policy or contractual designation. Additional compensation may be in the form of sign on bonus, relocation benefits, short term incentives, long term incentives, or discretionary payments for exceptional performance.
