Budget and Contracts Manager

The Budget & Contracts Manager for the Creative Collective for Christian Life and Faith will manage, process and maintain all records, payments, and reporting for the budget of the Collective as well as management of the CAC’s contracts and grant agreements.  This includes the daily budgets of the Collective team as well as coordinating and tracking the awarding and financial records for subgrantees.  

The Creative Arts Collective for Christian Life and Faith is a hub for Christian arts based at Belmont University with a primary aim to inspire people from diverse contexts to discover and live the beauty and wisdom of the Christian story and encounter God through the arts. The three objectives of the Creative Arts Collective are creating and curating new art, educating and nurturing Christian imagination, and cultivating and sustaining a thriving network in Christianity and the arts.  Key strategies for advancing the aim and objectives are Grant-Making, Convenings and Storytelling.  All activities in the Creative Arts Collective are funded by a major grant from the Lilly Endowment, Inc.

Primary position responsibilities:

Manage accounts receivable, accounts payable, financial reporting, and the collection of supporting documentation for grant expense activity.Manage, develop, and oversee budget tracking and forecasting activities for all grant activities.Coordinate with on-campus departments (e.g. Finance and Accounting, the Office of Sponsored Programs, University Counsel, etc.) to fulfill all budgetary, accounting, and reporting requirements.Collaborate with team leadership on budget development, check-ins, and trainings, as needed.Work alongside Primary Investigator to ensure grant spending compliance and timely financial data.Oversee contract generation and documentation management for grant agreements, contractors, and other grant partnerships.Occasional data input related to subgrantee contracts, disbursements, and other data into Salesforce CRM platform.Participate in interdepartmental grantee workgroup to share resources, experience, etc.Support grant programming events, e.g. Creative Summit, Arts Festival, on-campus events, etc.Occasional travel may be required.The above statements describe the job’s essential responsibilities and requirements.  They are not an exhaustive list of the duties that may be assigned to job incumbents.
