Job Summary:
ODS has several opportunities for a contract supporting a Federal client in the DC Metro area for accounting, budgeting, financial operations, and financial reporting.
Base Salary: $100,000-$105,000/Annually
Responsibilities/Duties:Assist in the allocation, execution, monitoring, and coordination of the agency’s annual operating budgetAssist with day-to-day financial management operations and budget analysisPerform quantitative analysis of financial/budgetary data and provide reports on findings to government managersSupport budget execution and program build activities, analysis, events, and documentation packages as designated by government managers. This includes, but is not limited to: gathering, maintaining, reviewing, and analyzing program and budget data and requirementsProvide support to government managers in the development and implementation of annual budgetary spend plansSupport all aspects of Federal financial budget executionReview for completeness and process Security Work Authorizations (SWAs) and prepare summary reports on SWA activityAssist in the preparation of presentation materialsMaintain confidentiality of informationPrepare, edit, and assemble reports required for meetings and presentationsWork effectively with other branches and divisions within the organization to accomplish tasksProvide assistance, as needed, with special projectsObtain necessary information from appropriate source(s) to complete assigned tasks and share information with others as neededComplete other ad hoc assignments, as determinedQualifications:A minimum of eight years of experience in financial management, financial analysis, business management, project or program management, or related work with a minimum of five of the eight years in conducting analytical and support activities related to task areaA minimum education requirement of a Bachelor’s DegreeAbility to communicate effectively, both orally and in writingAbility to conduct detailed research and analysis of technical dataAbility to read and interpret management policy, regulations, and directivesProficiency in Microsoft Office 2010 or higher to include Word, Access, Excel (power-user skills), PowerPointExperience with financial processes such as AP, AR, billing and invoice management desiredKnowledge of Federal financial management concepts and processes desiredKnowledge of basic accounting concepts desiredAbility to work effectively with a group or independentlyAbility to effectively manage several tasks simultaneouslyBenefits and Perks:Medical / Vision and Dental PlansHoliday and Personal Time Off Pay401K planLife InsuranceEducation and Training Assistance Program (discussed during the on boarding process)Incentive Plans and Referral BonusesEmployee Assistance ProgramsOld Dominion Strategies, LLC is an equal opportunity employer and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, disability status, protected veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by law.
