Budget Manager

The Alaka`ina Foundation Family of Companies (FOC) is looking for a qualified Budget Manager to support our Corporate Operations in our Orlando, Florida office.

The Budget Manager will report to the Senior Director of Finance and will be responsible for, but not necessarily limited to, the following duties:

  JOB DESCRIPTION:

Responsible for the development, reporting, and monitoring of annual budgets. Responsibilities include financial reporting, detailed cost summary reporting, budgeting, forecasting and analysis of cost. Establish, control, and conform to approved financial budget policy for accounting and financial operations. Assist with cost estimating and review of pricing calculations completed for proposals and future development opportunities. Develop and interface directly with the managers and supervisors in financial planning and budgeting, analysis of cost and ways and means of controlling costs. Initiate corrective action or revision of internal methods or procedures, in accordance with regulations, directives and guidance to resolve problems, simplify operations and increase efficiency and responsiveness. Establish and maintain appropriate internal control safeguards. Interact with other managers to provide consultative support to planning initiatives through financial and management information analyses, reports, and recommendations. Other duties as assigned

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

5-10 years of related experience is required. Must have ability to follow oral and written instructions and procedures. Professional written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills. Motivate teams to produce quality materials within tight timeframes and simultaneously manage several projects. Participate in and facilitate group meetings. Analyze financial data and prepare financial reports, statements, and projections. Finance, accounting, budgeting, and cost control principles including Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). Must comply with published company work rules. Must possess the following PC Skills: Word, Excel and Outlook.

 DESIRED SKILLS:

Knowledge of Government Contracting highly preferred

 DEGREE/EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENT:

Bachelor’s degree or additional years of experience may substitute in lieu of degree.
