Under the direction of the Whitman School of Managements, Assistant Director of Budget and Finance, the Budget Manager is responsible for ensuring that departmental and university resources are appropriately safeguarded and spent or used in accordance with departmental and university policies and procedures. Providing support and guidance to College units, the Budget Manager manages payroll processes and administers and monitors budget allocations and expenditures, acting as liaison with College and central units, including but not limited to: Comptroller's Office, General and Restricted Accounting, Purchasing, Disbursements, Risk Management, Sponsored Programs, Sponsored Accounting. The Budget Manager also supports the College budget office with monthly reporting and analysis, manages the College’s internal and external grants, and manages a team of 4 to 6 employees who support the faculty, staff, and students.
