Budgeting & Analysis Manager (req5983) Job Number: req5983 Job Title: Budgeting & Analysis Manager Number of Openings: 1 Job/Employment Type: FT Country: USA State/Province: New York City: Niagara Falls Job Category: Finance Career Level: Management Level of Education: Bachelors (Four Year Degree) Years of Experience: 7-10 years Position Description Job Summary: Oversee the analysis and budgeting functions for the property and ensures that accurate financial information is provided to senior management for decision-making purposes. All functions will be performed within the guidelines of the Seneca Gaming Corporation’s policies and procedures, Internal Control Standards and objectives, and generally accepted accounting principles. Essential Functions and Responsibilities: + Prepare annual budget, including development of budget packets and forms to be used by department management, answers questions pertaining to the budget preparation, meets with senior management and department management about their annual budgets, prepares annual capital budget, issues operating budgets to department management and prepares an annual budget report to senior management. + Oversees the development of financial forecasts and management reports for all properties. + Prepares financial documentation for quarterly and monthly reporting. + Supervises and develops financial trend analysis and capital investment analysis. + Directs analysis of gaming revenue performance, labor/productivity, food & beverage, hotel and other non-gaming revenue performance in cooperation with appropriate operational and accounting departments. + Supervises and develops key metric reporting for management. + Prepare ad hoc financial analysis and forecasts as needed. + Review and provide input on financial analysis of operations and marketing events and assist in measuring the effectiveness of our operations and the financial benefit of our marketing programs. + Review full-time equivalent reports and assist departments with tracking and recording key value metrics and labor efficiencies. + Provide oversight of effective recruitment, hiring, training, recognition, coaching, terminations and other personnel related issues for the Analysis department. + Ensure staff behavior and appearance is in compliance with established standards. + Evaluate employee performance and provides feedback. + Ensure that all subordinate employees abide by all internal controls, policies, and procedures during all shifts. + Provide exceptional customer service to all patrons and communicates in a pleasant, friendly and professional manner at all times. Maintain a professional work environment with supervisors, managers and staff. + Meet the attendance guidelines of the job and adhere to regulatory, departmental and company policies. + Must complete all required SGC Training programs within nine (9) months from commencement of employment. + Attend all necessary meetings. + Duties, responsibilities, requirements and expectations pertaining to this job are subject to change as needed. Hours are determined by a 24-hour schedule. Position Requirements Each position has varying minimum qualifications. In the absence of fully qualified candidates, some requirements may be waived. Education/Experience: + Must be 18 years of age or older upon employment. + Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required, MBA preferred. + Minimum of seven (7) years of financial or operational analysis experience in the gaming industry required. + Successful candidate must be an experienced, results oriented, and hands-on professional. + Must be able to evaluate statistical reports and other business reports. + Skilled with Database programs including MS Access and Sequel. + Proficient in Microsoft Office including Excel Word and Power Point. + Familiar with Kronos, Infinium, Showcase, and ACSC. Language Skills and Reasoning Ability: + Ability to communicate effectively both written and orally. + Ability to write routine correspondence and to speak effectively to the public, employees and customers. + Must have the ability to deal effectively and interact well with the customers and employees. + Must have the ability to resolve problems/conflicts in a diplomatic and tactful manner + Must demonstrate leadership, fairness, and sensibility to the customers and employees. + Must possess ability to instill a sense of pride and personal responsibility in subordinate employees.
