Budgeting and Financial Systems Manager 2743003 A leading medical institution is seeking a Budgeting and Financial Systems Manager. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing, coordinating, and maintaining the budget software and processes, as well as overseeing the accuracy of data, and ensuring financial reporting is timely and accurate. They will collaborate regularly with the finance team and end users, providing support and guidance for monthly financial reporting and during the annual budget process to ensure smooth operations and accurate financial management. The ideal candidate has 5+ years of experience in a similar role and a healthcare environment. Budgeting and Financial Systems Manager Pay and Benefits: * Hourly pay: $65/hr * Worksite: A leading medical institution (Los Angeles, CA 90045 - Hybrid) * W2 Employment, Group Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, Retirement Savings Program, PSL * 40 hours/week, 3 Month Assignment Budgeting and Financial Systems Manager Responsibilities: * Support project/s by: * Provide status reports on upcoming project deliverables * Facilitate change management of projects * Facilitate escalation of issues and risks * Oversee the development, governance, and implementation of processes, methodologies, tools, and products related to software application/s. * Interfacing with the Finance Team to provide strategic and tactical advice on project/program planning and execution * Interfacing with Directors, Managers, and Executives to provide instruction and guidance on the use of software product/s and related tools. * Manage all hardware resources utilized by application/s (Administrator for the application server, database server, and scheduler server). * Plans and executes all software upgrades and patch updates, including managing resources to validate the system after upgrades or patches are applied. * Manage overall security of sensitive financial information contained in reports and plan files * Design and develop reports, dashboards, and data exports * Facilitate project deliverables: * Assist in managing the annual budget process * Project plan, scope, and schedule for budget configuration items * Development of training and educational content * Weekly Status reports * Day-to-day operations: * Maintenance of the system * Data loading of information from Care Connect, EPIC, QDB, HR, and Lawson, etc. * Change control * Quality management (validating files and information from other groups) * Project evaluation to ensure we are meeting team goals * Support and track approvals * Ensure project milestones are met and documented in UPLAN * Coordinate the review and analysis of the annual budget package and help with the preparation of presentations before the scheduled finance and board meetings. * Regularly evaluate work processes in an effort to develop efficiencies and ensure value. * Maintain thorough and accurate supporting documentation for all work that is easy to follow. * Performs other related duties and special projects as assigned. Budgeting and Financial Systems Manager Qualifications: * 5+ years of experience * The position requires an extensive knowledge and understanding of generally accepted accounting principles and healthcare accounting. * Knowledge of financial analysis is preferable in a healthcare academic and research environment. * Knowledge and use of personal computers, computerized spreadsheet programs, and financial modeling. * Technical proficiency in budgeting software. * Knowledge and skills in design and maintenance of financial reporting including balance sheet and profit and loss reports. * Ability to effectively manage multiple projects. * Ability to accept and carry out oral instructions accurately and work independently as well as a part of a team within a demanding environment * Written communication skills to prepare clear and concise correspondence at a level appropriate for the intended audience. * Oral communication skills to correspond with various levels of University personnel and ability to deliver oral presentations. * Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with staff within the Finance department, with other office personnel, and with outside departments. * Ability to work as part of a team, collaborating with colleagues. * Skill in prioritizing and performing a variety of duties within a system that has frequently changing assignments, priorities, and deadlines. * Ability to work independently and follow through on assignments with minimal direction and supervision. * Ability to adjust working hours and, if necessary, work overtime to meet the needs of the office and reporting deadlines.
