As part of our Engineering Operations (EngOps/DevOps) team within Honeywell Connected Life Sciences (HCLS), we operate with similar freedoms of a start-up, but with the support and security of a well-established, profitable, and market leading organization. Working closely with our team of developers and quality engineers, you will understand and anticipate the needs of our Agile SDLC development processes.

You will report directly to our Director of Software Engineering and you'll work out of our Hamilton, NJ location on a hybrid work schedule.

As a Build Master, you own the organization’s CI/CD pipeline needs by maintaining existing builds and developing new ones to meet the needs of our growing portfolio of applications. Your primary role will be to solve these challenging technical problems, while also overseeing a team of more junior engineers. 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
     • Manage the build process, including compiling, packaging, and deploying software releases.
     • Coordinate with development teams to ensure smooth integration of code changes.
     • Implement and maintain build automation tools and processes.
     • Monitor and troubleshoot build failures and resolve any issues that arise.
     • Work with cross-functional teams to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the software development process.

YOU MUST HAVE
     • 3+ years of experience in Linux/Windows administration
     • 3+ years of hands-on experience CI/CD automation and tools (Jenkins/Bamboo/GitHub Actions)
     • 3+ years of automation of infrastructure provisioning (Azure/VMware)

WE VALUE
     • Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or Engineering
     • Experience with terraform
     • Experience in Linux Administration, (Red Hat / CentOS / Ubuntu)
     • Experience in Containerization technologies (Docker/Kubernetes)
     • Strong experience in lifecycle management of Jenkins based workflows
     • Strong understanding of Agile Scrum SDLC
     • Knowledge of best practices and IT operations in an always-up, always-available service
     • Excellent communication, collaboration
