Build/Repair Coordinator

Habitat for Humanity of Findlay/Hancock County is growing our construction team to shelter more families! Be on the front line of providing safe and affordable homes throughout our service area of Hancock County by providing hands-on experiences to volunteers and families to build new homes and repair homes. These positions will assist the build and repair teams to complete annually 30-50 owner occupied repair projects and 6 new construction homes on-time and within budget. These positions will lead volunteers on sites including new home construction, mobile home and single family home critical repairs, and rehab of homes. Responsibilities include project site set up, site management of volunteers, estimating, subcontractor coordination, material delivery, safety & compliance, overall quality management, and driving of trucks and trailers. To accomplish Habitat’s mission of stabilizing families and being a teaching ministry - you must be comfortable teaching inexperienced volunteers how to use tools and how to complete building tasks.
The ideal candidates for these roles have 2+ years residential construction experience including rehab and repair, possess excellent communication, general knowledge and skills in all aspects of residential construction, ability to work on a flexible schedule and to work occasional evenings and early mornings. Must have a valid driver’s license. Work will require occasional lifting up to 50 lbs. Requires walking and standing to a significant degree.
