**Overview** The **Building Engineer** ( **Electrician)** is responsible for maintaining, repairing, and upgrading electrical systems and equipment at the designated work site. Key duties include installing power sources and wiring, troubleshooting electrical issues, restoring power during failures, and designing circuitry for special projects. The Electrician will also assist with work orders, track materials, and ensure all electrical work is documented in compliance with company and facility requirements. **Pay:**  $69.52/hour The pay listed is the hourly rate for this position. A specific offer will vary based on applicant’s experience, skills, abilities, geographic location, and alignment with market data.  **Benefit Information: ** This is a union position and as such will include union benefits. **Essential Functions:** + Provide quality electrical installations under the supervision of the electrical foreman. + Ensure code compliance through proper installation of electrical components. + Install, inspect, and test electrical systems such as panel boards, power distribution equipment, light fixtures, exit signs, and more. **Responsibilities:** + Perform electrical installations of a commercial nature, ensuring compliance with job specifications and local codes. + Plan and lay out electrical equipment, conduit, wiring, and fixtures. + Work from ladders, scaffolds, or lifts to install electrical components. + Read and understand job site maps, instruction manuals, and written instructions accurately. + Test and troubleshoot electrical systems to ensure they are operating properly. + May be required to perform other duties or work on additional projects as needed. **Qualifications:** + 3-5 years of experience as a Journeyman Electrician is required. + Must have emergency/standby generator experience. + Valid State-issued Driver’s License is required. + Strong written and verbal communication skills in English. + Ability to perform physical tasks related to the job (lifting, climbing, etc.).
