Compensation depends on relevant experience and/or education, specific skills, function, geographic location, and other factors as applicable by law. The expected base rate for this role is between $19.83 and $ 19.87 .
As applicable, this role will also receive: overtime compensation.
**Schedule** **:**
**Monday - Friday (some weekends)**
**9:00am -5:30 pm - some flexibility**
**Some overtime as necessary**
**ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:**
+ Performs basic maintenance duties as assigned, including cleaning, painting, electrical, plumbing and grounds keeping duties
+ Cleans other buildings (Admin, Garage) as assigned
+ Collects recyclable materials, and handles according to disposition guidelines
+ Conducts audits and inspects buildings for compliance to Food Safety, OSHA, electrical standards, structural integrity, etc.
+ Removes ice build-up from ceiling and floors/travel areas in freezer.
+ Performs racking inspection — inspects racking; and performs rack replacement and repairs as needed
+ Basic plumbing duties as required
+ Maintains and repairs sprinkler system
+ Snow removal: including plowing, salting, shoveling—from buildings, lots, sidewalks, etc.
+ Lawn and grounds care, including mowing, trimming, watering, seasonal upgrades
+ Help maintain storage boxes and log locations, in compliance with records retention initiatives
+ General carpentry, painting and basic office remodeling jobs as needed
+ Coordinates and performs office moves, including modular station creation, filing systems, seating, ergonomic set-up, etc.
+ Transports products and records between warehouse and other buildings.
+ Inspects and maintains dock levelers
**ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:**
+ Coordinates with and assists Sanitation personnel as needed
+ Maintain accurate and organized records, per division Standards of Performance (SOP ' s) Complete annual training requirements
**QUALIFICATIONS:**
+ Education (Minimum Needed): High school diploma or GED; additional vocational or other training preferred
+ Experience (Minimum Needed): one year's previous comparable experience
+ Specialized Knowledge Needed for Performance of Job: Mathematical skills, follow orders; good reading and comprehension skills; able to work independently as well as with co-workers.
+ Special Skills: basic electrical and plumbing knowledge; able to interact well with other departments and associates.
+ Other: Knowledge of products, knowledge of warehouse, ability to work in a neat and orderly fashion; able to work in various areas and temperature zones within the warehouse (dry, cooler, freezer, and dock) and inside/outside the facility during all seasons of the year. Able to work overtime as needed (including weekends/holidays for emergency needs or special projects)
**PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:** Standing, walking, sitting, stooping, kneel, crouching, crawling, lifting/moving objects
**DESCRIBE WORK ENVIRONMENT** : Employee is frequently exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; moving mechanical parts; high, precarious places and, frequently exposed to extreme cold, risk of electrical shock; operates various cleaning and materials handling equipment (including but not limited to highlifts, pallet jacks, lawn tractors, warehouse scrubber, snowplows and small dump truck); works independently to complete daily tasks, as well as with other associates on larger projects; works inside facility (cooler, freezer, dry goods area, dock, offices, garage) as well as outside
