Licensed Building Maintenance 313A Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Mechanic
Overview:
We are currently seeking a Licensed Building Maintenance Person for our Toronto Centre, who will report directly to the Building Maintenance Senior Manager. Responsibilities:
The Licensed Building Maintenance 313A is responsible for inspecting, troubleshooting, repairing, replacing, installing, adjusting, maintaining and documenting all mechanical, hydraulic and electrically operated plant equipment.
You have a strong background of skilled trades experience specifically in building maintenance, specific to refrigeration and air conditioning systems for a large plant operations and have proven communication skills with supervisors, employees, and customers. You are self-motivated, thrive in fast moving environments, and able to manage time to effectively meet deadlines.
Complete daily worksheets, and weekly reports as requiredMaintain and repair material handling and production equipmentMaintain building and all related mechanical equipmentMaintain a PMP for the plant on the machinesEnhance existing equipment reliability and efficiencyKnowledge of proper documentation when ordering components/tools for repairsResponsible for ordering maintenance components when requiredKeeps work area, tools and equipment in an orderly mannerPerform other duties as neededKey Requirements:
Industrial experience in troubleshooting and repairingMust have the ability to carry out corrective measures to repair production equipmentExpected to work with minimum guidanceWell organized and good interpersonal skillsAbility to interpret diagrams, schematics, manuals and specificationsAbility to work as a team player and communicating effectively at all levelsPassionate about customer serviceKnowledge and Skills:
Excellent communicator (oral and written), who demonstrates sound judgement, tact and works well in high-pressure situations.Ability to work independently, organizes work to ensure full proficiency and productivity is achievedAbility to handle high volume of work and maintain confidentialitySelf-motivated, and able to work with minimal supervisionAbility to work in an environment that encourages and fosters teamwork, participation, creativity, honesty and mutual respectKnowledge of safe lifting techniques, as regular and repetitive heavy lifting (approx. 35lbs) is requiredProficiency to navigate tablet-based technologyTeam player who can work independentlyEducation, Certificates, Licenses:

Will be exposed to extreme temperature changes and noisesThis is a physically demanding position – Regularly stands, bends, lifts, and moves intermittently during shifts of 8+ hoursOn-call rotation for after hours is requiredRate of Pay:
