Building Maintenance Technician

Pay: 52000 - $62400 / year (paid hourly)

Schedule: M - F; 7:30a - 4p (with flexibility as needed)

Location: Lincolnshire, IL

The Building Maintenance person will have a strong focus on maintaining, troubleshooting, and responding to Work Orders related to maintaining and repairing client’s facility building interiors.  Building Maintenance person expected to demonstrate technical expertise in light plumbing, general carpentry, modular furniture light repair/assembly-disassembly and be multi-skilled in other housekeeping tasks to successfully complete daily/weekly work assignments.

Maintenance

Performance of ongoing preventive and repair response work orders on facility mechanical, plumbing, and other installed systems, equipment, and other components.Perform assigned facility inspections and due diligence efforts, reporting on as found conditions impacting satisfactory client occupancy and operations.General interior maintenance – patching/painting, hang pictures, install keyboard trays, repair office furniture systems, repair doors and other building envelope maintenance tasks.Assist the building maintenance operations team in the repairs of building and equipment and/or as directedMoves office furniture, machinery, equipment, and other materials as requestedReplace overhead lighting elements and ballastsOther tasks as assigned

Safety

Comply with all safety procedures, maintaining good housekeeping and safety of work areas.Recognize danger and safety hazards and propose methods to eliminate them.Must complete all required safety trainings as scheduledPractice Defensive Driving at all timesComplies with all policies for the safe storage, usage, and disposal of hazardous materials. 

Administrative

Update work order status in real timeUtilize CMMS systems such as Corrigo for all work performed and closing out requestsEscalating problems or issues to Client and JLL Facilities Manager in a timely mannerAttend work and safety meetings as required

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Education/trainingHigh school diploma or equivalentYears of relevant experienceHave a minimum of 2-5 years of applicable working experience in general building repair, maintenance, and basic plumbingOther abilitiesStrong Customer Service skillsStrong Interpersonal skillsAbility to problem solve on maintenance tasks/troubleshootPhysical work requirements and work conditionsLifting to 60 lbs.Working from heightsFrequently climbing, bending, lifting, kneeling, stooping, and working/extending overhead.Climbing a ladder up to 30 feet or more
