**Job Title: Building Maintenance Technician (Milwaukee, WI)**
**Job Description**
We are looking for a skilled Building Maintenance Technician to join our team. This candidate will drive between 500-2000 miles a week to various commercial outlet stores within the region to perform and complete maintenance work orders. The maintenance tasks include painting, plumbing, electrical, masonry, cleaning, welding, drywall, and working with locks. The ideal candidate must be proficient in communication with customers and technically sound to complete work orders independently, though assistance is available for specific projects.
**Responsibilities**
+ Perform maintenance tasks such as painting, plumbing, electrical work, masonry, cleaning, welding, and drywall.
+ Travel 500-2000 miles per week to various commercial outlets to complete work orders.
+ Communicate effectively with customers and store managers about work being done.
+ Use an internal app (ADP) to log hours, document work, and communicate.
+ Handle commercial electrical tasks such as troubleshooting light poles, changing breakers, and installing new circuits.
+ Perform residential and commercial plumbing tasks including drain cleaning and changing out toilets, sinks, and faucets.
+ Execute painting tasks using touch-ups, hand brushes, and spray guns.
+ Manage drywall tasks including hanging, finishing, and achieving Level 5 Finish capabilities.
+ Conduct masonry tasks including working with brick and stone.
+ Perform welding tasks such as MIG/Stick/Spot welds for gate hinges or fencing.
+ Work with residential and commercial pad locks or electrical locks.
**Essential Skills**
+ Experience in commercial electrical work including low voltage troubleshooting.
+ Proficiency in residential/commercial plumbing tasks.
+ Skilled in painting with hand brushes and spray guns.
+ Experience in drywall hanging and finishing.
+ Knowledge of masonry work with brick and stone.
+ Welding experience with MIG, Stick, and Spot techniques.
+ Familiarity with residential/commercial pad locks and electrical locks.
+ Comfortable with driving 500-2000 miles a week using own vehicle.
+ Ability to use an app for logging hours and documenting work.
+ Valid driver's license and proof of insurance.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ Experience with hand and power tools such as angle grinders, tape measures, multimeters, channel locks, and circular saws.
+ Proficiency with drywall tools, hammers, crescent wrenches, sanders, impact drivers, speed squares, receptacle testers, needle nose pliers, socket/ratchet sets, reciprocating saws, drills, levels, non-contact voltage testers, lineman pliers, and oscillating saws.
+ Steel-toe boots recommended; other PPE provided based on project requirements.

**Work Environment**
The work schedule is from 7am to 6pm, Monday to Friday, with a 30-minute lunch break. Saturday work is voluntary. Expect to work 10-20 hours of overtime per week. The first week includes 5 days of training. Work is split 50/50 between indoor and outdoor environments, and involves reaching 3-8 clients a day. The role is 90-95% individual work, with regular communication with supervisors and store managers. You will use your own vehicle for travel.
**Job Type & Location**
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Spring Lake, Michigan.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $30.00/hr.
