Building Maintenance Technician The Building Maintenance Technician is responsible for repairs and general maintenance of the office and shop areas as well as maintaining company fleet of vehicles, and job site trailers. ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBLITIES: + Perform general building maintenance of office and shop areas + Routinely change HVAC filters, and maintain or replace water filters + Replace light ballasts and ceiling tiles as needed + Maintain ice machines and coolers as well ensure vending machines are fully stocked + Maintain and repair restroom fixtures and exhaust fans + Repair drywall and paint office interior as needed + Relocate, repair, and assemble office furniture, hang white boards and monitors + Maintain exercise equipment in company gym + Maintain sidewalks and parking lots including shoveling snow off walkways as needed + Setup and take down stage, tables, and chairs for large events in the event center + Dispose of recyclables and trash daily + Maintain organization and cleanliness of the shop area + Perform deliveries or pick up materials from job sites + Clean and prepare company vehicles for use, as well as scheduling routine maintenance + Repair, stock and recondition tool trailers for use on job sites EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE: + High school diploma or GED required + Previous maintenance or handyman experience preferred KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS / ABILITIES: + Proven experience in maintenance or related field + Experienced with hardware, hand tools and basic power tools + Basic understanding of plumbing and HVAC systems + Attention to detail, well organized, problem-solving ability + Must be able to effectively read and interpret information + Ability to work successfully as a team and independently with moderate supervision PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: + Coordinate eye-hand movements with control and precision + Use hands and fingers fully; reach for, manipulate, and feel objects; stoop, kneel, crouch, and/or crawl + Climb and maintain body balance on ladders and see and hear well (either naturally or with correction) + Lift and carry objects weighing up to 50 pounds + Stoop, lay, bend or squat for long periods of time WORKING CONDITIONS: + May be exposed to fumes, dust or other airborne particles + May be exposed to loud noises + May be exposed to extreme outside conditions that include inclement weather, heat and humidity Robinson Construction is a Design-Build General Contractor specializing in the completion of process-intense manufacturing facilities throughout the United States.
